Mohammed Ali Khan

মোহাম্মদ আলী খান

According to family history, Mohammed Ali Khan, an early ancestor of Pathan/Pashtun heritage, arrived in this area by boat around 1696. Before disembarking, he purchased land where he could establish a home for his family. He settled there with his two sons, Mohammed Nosimullah Khan and Mohammed Habibullah Khan; his third son, Haji Mohammed Salimullah Khan, was born later. Family accounts remember him as one of the area's largest Muslim landowners, with parts of the ancestral land passing through successive generations and remaining in the inheritance of Sir Dr. Anam Ul Islam. He is also remembered for Islamic teaching, community leadership and generosity towards disadvantaged people.

পারিবারিক ইতিহাস অনুযায়ী, পাঠান/পশতুন বংশোদ্ভূত পূর্বপুরুষ মোহাম্মদ আলী খান আনুমানিক ১৬৯৬ সালে নৌকায় করে এই অঞ্চলে আগমন করেন। নৌকা থেকে নামার আগেই তিনি পরিবারের বসবাসের জন্য জমি ক্রয় করেন। তিনি তাঁর দুই পুত্র মোহাম্মদ নসিমুল্লাহ খান ও মোহাম্মদ হাবিবুল্লাহ খানকে নিয়ে সেখানে বসতি স্থাপন করেন; পরবর্তীতে তাঁর তৃতীয় পুত্র হাজী মোহাম্মদ সলিমুল্লাহ খান জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। পারিবারিক বিবরণে তাঁকে এলাকার অন্যতম বৃহৎ মুসলিম ভূস্বামী হিসেবে স্মরণ করা হয়। তাঁর কিছু পৈতৃক জমি উত্তরাধিকারসূত্রে পরবর্তী প্রজন্মের মাধ্যমে স্যার ড. আনাম উল ইসলামের কাছে এসেছে। ইসলামী শিক্ষা, সমাজ নেতৃত্ব ও সুবিধাবঞ্চিত মানুষের সহায়তার জন্যও তিনি স্মরণীয়।

Haji Mohammed Salimullah Khan

হাজী মোহাম্মদ সলিমুল্লাহ খান

Born in 1745 according to family records, Haji Mohammed Salimullah Khan was one of the wealthiest men and major landowners in the area. An Islamic scholar and philanthropist, he founded the K.M. Tilla Mosque in his native village. He owned many horses and was an enthusiastic horse rider, frequently travelling on horseback. According to family recollections, his horse riding attracted resentment from some wealthy Hindu residents of the area. Family accounts also say he performed Hajj twice on foot. Following his death, he was buried near the K.M. Tilla Mosque.

মোহাম্মদ সৈয়দুল্লাহ খান

Son of Haji Mohammed Salimullah Khan and father of Haji Mohammed Abdul Jalil Khan. Remembered for charitable giving and community service, he owned many horses and was an enthusiastic horse rider. According to family accounts, he regularly rode his own horses when going out, including on shopping trips.

তিনি হাজী মোহাম্মদ সলিমুল্লাহ খানের পুত্র ও হাজী মোহাম্মদ আব্দুল জলিল খানের পিতা। দানশীলতা ও জনসেবার পাশাপাশি তিনি অনেক ঘোড়ার মালিক ছিলেন এবং ঘোড়ায় চড়তে অত্যন্ত পছন্দ করতেন। পারিবারিক বিবরণ অনুযায়ী, কেনাকাটাসহ বাইরে যাওয়ার সময় তিনি নিজেই ঘোড়ায় চড়ে যাতায়াত করতেন।

Haji Mohammed Abdul Jalil Khan

হাজী মোহাম্মদ আব্দুল জলিল খান

Born in 1879, according to family records, Haji Mohammed Abdul Jalil Khan travelled to the United Kingdom in 1897 and later served in the British Civil Service. According to family records, he participated in British wartime service during both the First World War (1914–1918) and the Second World War (1939–1945). In 1907, he acquired his first home in the United Kingdom at 40 Brooke Street, Luton, England. In 1962, he built the Haji Mohammed Abdul Jalil Grand Mosque on his own land, entirely with his own funds. He was one of the founders of Dakshin Fenchugonj Maijgong Bazar and Dakshin Fenchugonj Shahi Eidgah. Family memories describe him as a strikingly handsome man, 6 feet 8 inches tall, and one of the wealthiest landowners in the surrounding area, with extensive landholdings. He married Mrs Johura Khatun, remembered in the family for her beauty; she was the grandmother of Sir Dr. Anam Ul Islam. He was known for regularly helping disadvantaged families, supporting mosques, madrasahs and welfare initiatives. He established the Foundation in 1986 and served as its Founder and First Chairman until 1990.

A British Mechanical Engineer and Second Chairman of the Foundation (1990–December 2011), Haji Mohammed Abdul Masabbir Khan continued the family's commitment to education, charitable work and community development. A keen sportsman, he is remembered in family accounts as an outstanding footballer of his time in both the United Kingdom and Bangladesh. He was also one of the founders of Dakshin Fenchugonj Maijgong Sports Ground and served as Chairman of both Dakshin Fenchugonj Maijgong Sports Ground and Dakshin Fenchugonj Shahi Eidgah.

Since assuming the chairmanship in 2012, Sir Dr. Anam Ul Islam has continued the charitable legacy established by his predecessors. According to the Foundation's records, his charitable contributions since 2012 have supported approximately 369 mosques and madrasahs and provided assistance to approximately 610,000 disadvantaged people.
